I used to live there years ago, a few doors up from Nabalom's bakery. It is hard to believe that someone would commit an armed robbery in that neighborhood at that hour when many restaurants and shops are still open and many customers are wandering on the sidewalks. It is even harder to believe that the robber would fire their weapon and hit their victim. I now live in West Berkeley, where I've seen more than my share of violence on the street. I wouldn't have been too surprised to hear of something like this around my neighborhood. I'm totally surprised to hear about this in Elmwood.
