Panorama, the 320-page “newspaper” conceived and executed by Dave Eggers and McSweeney’s, hits the streets tomorrow, Tuesday Dec 8.
I had heard it would be sold for $5 on the streets of San Francisco, hawked by a collection of “newsies” wandering the city. The idea was to imitate the newsboys of the golden age of journalism, who would rush to the streets with extra editions when news broke.
But you don’t have to go to San Francisco to get a copy of the paper, which features articles by Stephen King, Andrew Sean Greer, Michael Chabon and many more accomplished writers. It will also be sold in independent bookstores such as Mrs. Dalloways on College Avenue, A Great Good Place for Books in Montclair, Books, Inc. on Fourth Street in Berkeley, Moe’s Books on Telegraph, Diesel Books, University Press Books on University Avenue, among others. A full list can be had here.
