Those Piedmont folks just aren't as sharp as us Berkeley folks! (JUST KIDDING).

Anyway, thanks for the response and keep up the good work! I very much enjoy your blog.

The holiday period was very slow both for readers and for our own posting activity. But in the last month (which includes those two slow weeks) we're at about 12,000 unique visitors. Things are climbing nicely.

About 85% of visitors are from California, the bulk (of course) from the East Bay. The only other state that has more than 1% of our visitors is New York, with about 2%. The UK is the top other country, with about 1% of visitors (Tracey and I spent many years in London, so we may have a small following there).

The statistic I find most encouraging is that the average time spent on the site has stayed steadily around the 2'30" mark, which is pretty high for the Web. Our readers in Piedmont and Sunnyvale average over 6' per visit. I can't figure that disparity out.
