I'd like the plan's authors to provide justification about how the addition of taller buildings "will provide more prevailing wage jobs and career pathways for Berkeley youth". If these are only construction-related jobs, let's forget it.

I'd like the plan's authors to address the inevitable increases in our city's ever-growing school population. There is very little room for our elementary schools to expand, and certainly BHS seems too big already.

I'd like authors to justify why these taller buildings "will contribute most significantly to open space." Will shorter ones be torn down? If not, I'm worried about the concrete canyon feeling we'd get in walking down our streets. I certainly experience concrete claustrophobia as I walk the perimeter of the Brower Center. Maybe it's wonderful inside, but walking around the outside of it gives me a gloomy feeling.
