Packed reading last night at Mrs. Dalloway's. The author was very engaging, charming, forthcoming, down to earth and full of wit and wisdom. I am looking forward to reading my signed copy now!

Based on her Tom Wolfe-esqe version of researching her novels, I only regret that she apparently did not get to meet or interact with the owner of Serendipity on her research visit to Berkeley (a central plot line involves the owner of a rare book store). Even a few minutes with him, especially if she had brought her whole family into the shop with her, would have been a goldmine for drawing up a priceless and unforgetable character.

I have attended several very poorly attended and depressing author readings at Cody's on 4th St. and it was a pleasure to see such a lively and engaging audience present. Maybe Berkeley's better half resides in the Elmwood neighborhood?

Great news! I loved INTUITION, which was an extremely complex examination of a breakdown of ethics in a scientific research setting. Fabulous!
