Move over Andy Samberg, Ben Affleck is Berkeley boy

Most Berkeley celebrities are professors, writers and political firebrands. But it turns out that actor Ben Affleck, usually dubbed a Boston native, was born in Berkeley. He moved to Boston when young, but something of the Berkeley spirit seems to have infected him. The photo of Affleck, above, was taken during a discussion on America’s role in combating global poverty. Not the usual venue for movie stars.

Movie stars are always talking about global poverty. But they don’t do anything, they just talk. It’s good PR. Ben Afflick isn’t a socialist just because he was born in Berkeley. He’s not a revolutionary. He’s a rich piece of capitalist trash who makes bad films.

This blog is getting to be very wishywashy and trite.

This is old news… and although he was born in Alta Bates, he did grow up in Boston which I think makes him legitimately a Boston boy.
