Daniel Timothy Wood, who is in digital advertising, had a few moments Thursday between his lunch at Vik’s Chaat Corner on Fourth Street (which he says is the best Indian place on the planet) and an appointment with a client in San Jose.

Chef owners Paul Arenstam and Charlene Reis have a slow food sensibility in a take-out business better known for fast food. That’s because the culinary couple (partners in life too) come with stellar cooking credentials: She’s an-ex Chez Panisse pastry chef, he did stints at upscale L.A. joints before landing at San Francisco’s acclaimed Rubicon. Phish delights fans at the Greek Theater

More than 8,500 people streamed into the Greek Theater on Thursday for the first of Phish’s three concerts. When the shows were announced, tickets sold out in about five minutes. They originally cost $50 but are in such high demand now that some are selling on the secondary market for $750. It looks like it was quite a colorful show.

Police looking for missing woman

Berkeley police are asking for the public’s help in locating a developmentally disabled woman whose mother last saw her five years ago.

In June 2009, the mother of Heather Bloom called Berkeley police to ask for assistance in locating her daughter who had been living with her sister in Berkeley. The mother, who lives in New York, had last seen her daughter in 2005.
