Thieves target Bank of America ATM machines

Police have arrested two men in connection with the broad-based scam, but warn there are other thieves out there. Police arrested Nau Macminh, 38,and Jason Miller, 41, for allegedly withdrawing funds that did not belong to them from Bank of America  ATM machines.

Retail sales in Berkeley decline by $200 million

During the last two years, retail sales in Berkeley have dropped by nearly $200 million, prompting the closure of many stores and leaving numerous vacant storefronts, according to information gathered by the city’s Office of Economic Development.

Something of an historic event took place last week in Berkeley when a family who live in Brisbane, Australia, came visiting.

The family of five took in the campus, the Bancroft Library, Founders’ Rock and the ASUC store, among other sites.
