Maybe it is self-evident to long time Berkeley residents but … the berkeleyside headline linking readers to the NYTimes story about Miranda July gives the impression that Miranda July lives in Berkeley but the first line in the NYTimes story begins by saying Ms. July lives in LA.  Perhaps Ms. July is from Berkeley or used to live in Berkeley?

Yes, Miranda July (known then as Miranda Grossinger) grew up in Berkeley and her parents were the founders of North Atlantic Books, a well known publisher of spiritual books. She now lives in LA. I just wanted to point out the Berkeley connection and much of the article centers around a visit she made to Berkeley.
