Where in Berkeley?

Where in Berkeley?

Know where this is? Take a guess and let us know in the Comments.

Update, 9:25am: Fittingly, “A. Student” quickly identified this week’s photo. This is Senior Hall, built in 1906 under the supervision of John Galen Howard, and paid for by a “secret society” called the Order of the Golden Bear. Apparently members of the society still maintain the outsize log cabin and meet there regularly, in secrecy. Congratulations, “A. Student”, on being this week’s winner!

    A. Student: I guess with a name like that you were guaranteed to get this right! This is indeed Senior Hall, built in 1906 under the supervision of John Galen Howard, and paid for by a “secret society” called the Order of the Golden Bear. Apparently members of the society still maintain the log cabin and meet there regularly, in secrecy. Congratulations on being this week’s winner!

I do enjoy your posts, so be careful to not become breakfast.

Dammit – I’m slow. But this is the first one I knew. Yes – Senior Hall. One of the oldest on campus and still has the original Redwood with bark intact on the inside. It smells great. The main part of this building actually is open to anyone.
