I hope the person injured is OK.  It would be curious to know how the accident happened.  I live on 8th St, just north of Cedar and the Fire Dept. thinks it OK to often park in the red zone on Cedar.  Even if their pick up trucks are parked east of the red zone it is still hard to see westbound Cedar traffic when you are at the 8th & Cedar stop sign (southbound on 8th waiting to turn left or right on Cedar or cross Cedar).  I had a close call just yesterday.

Some folks think red zone means “reserved parking for emergency vehicles”.  Other folks know it means “bad idea to park here”.
