The news that an award-winning pastry chef would be opening a new bakery in the space occupied for 38 years by The Bread Garden in Berkeley’s Claremont neighborhood was greeted with unanimous approval. “Cannot wait,” said reader Annie Painter. Frank Sally hopes to open Fournée Bakery before year-end.
