Berkeley’s first Sunday Streets on Shattuck Avenue on Oct. 14 was deemed a tremendous success, both because of the turn-out — estimates put participant numbers at 30,000-40,000 — and because of the feedback received by organizers. More than one Berkeleysider wished the car-free fest could be a monthly, or even weekly, event.
