Update, 9:30 p.m.: David Dasinger correctly identified this as roast chicken from Poulet in Berkeley; he didn’t mention the delicious butternut squash side salad, but we forgive him. The salad selection was of particular note — lots of variety and everything looked fresh and appealing. It was hard to choose just one.

Original post, 9 a.m.: Think you know food in the East Bay? Prove it by naming the restaurant and dish in the comments section below to win our latest contest.

    The Roast Chicken from Poulet?

That “nosh” used to be named Violet and she lived in West Berkeley with her three sisters. — Berkeleyside, please. I get it. Foodies = cool and hip. Eating animals is a socially acceptable norm, and meat eaters love to pick on vegetarians. But I believe you have topped any website to post the most photos of dead animals (dressed up as nosh). Your excitement over the local butcher shop a year or so ago nauseated me for weeks. And yes, I can stop getting posts from you so I don’t have to face these photos – but really? I need to go without because you can’t?

You got it, David! The butternut squash side salad was super yummy as well.
