I love eating at FIVE. We went there a couple years ago for Thanksgiving and throughly enjoyed the meal. Especially the butterscotch pudding! We’ve been back a few times and each time the food was well-prepared, service was thoughtful. One of my favs. Even better than the Lark Creek Inn.

I love FIVE too. Sophisticated ambiance, great appetizers, salads and desserts. My favorite dish is the spinach gnudi – like gnocchi, but fluffier clouds made of ricotta. The perfect place to celebrate – anything! Nice photos, Emilie.

Just visited the lounge this past weekend after a Berkeley High student event. Tried Red Flight/ three glasses of wine for tasting, all excellent with a side of warm olives…perfetto!

It is about time the FIVE get the recognition it deserves. The food is TERRIFIC. Love the option to drop in and get full menu at the bar, plus the beer glasses are chilled, as they should be! Thank you, FIVE!

Thanks, Anna! One thing I didn’t mention above is the $15 lunch deal — looks awesome… comes on a tray, a main with a couple sides and dessert. Haven’t tried it yet but it changes weekly, I think, and sounds like a cool deal.
    That gnudi sounds awesome!

Had lunch there Friday – great fried chicken sandwich – yes, fried chicken sandwich. Unfortunately I was so full that the dinner with my nephew at fat Apples (so he could have one of the best milk shakes in Berkeley) was not as enjoyable as it should have been!
