Update, 2 p.m. Pia and Cori nailed this week’s contest. The food is from Bartavelle Coffee & Wine Bar at 1603 San Pablo Ave. (the former Café Fanny spot). Pictured here are the smoked trout board, along with a ricotta and prosciutto sandwich. See their comments below for more detail. Truly scrumptious!

Good guess, but you’ll have to guess again.

Bartavelle Coffee & Wine Bar. Picture 1 is one of their savory boards with smoked trout, hard cooked egg, pickles, chickpeas and radishes. Picture 2 is an Acme pizza bianca sandwich with sheepsmilk ricotta, kale, arugula, and shallot vinaigrette.

…and it also looks like smoked prosciutto was added to the sandwich!

  • EASY – bartavelle – sandwich with sheeps mile ricotta (with preserved lemon!), greens, prosciutto on special pizza bread made especially for Bartavelle by Acme. The board is my son’s and my favorite- smoked trout, almost hard boiled eggs, beets, pickles, radishes, french butter, flakey salt, and a bean puree (she used to do a nice chick pea salad instead of the bean puree that was also delicious.)

Now, where is my half glass of wine and almond cherry cookie? On second thought I’d like a perfect capp and chocolate hazelnut toast. Yum.

You guys are good!! Pia and Cori nailed it. (We ask for guesses about both the restaurant and the dish, or Susie would have grabbed this one.) Thanks for playing!
