Definitely Lawrence Hall of Science. I was observing a father explaining what a dial tone was to his son there the other day.

Just outside city council chambers – it’s where all the cub reporters sprint to to call in their breaking city council news.

Isn’t this outside council chambers, where all the cub reporters fight to see who can call in their story first?

Lawrence Hall of Science. My grandson seems to think it’s a time machine.

  • Charles_Siegel

Don Draper used a rotary-dial phone. This is one of those newfangled phones with push buttons.

One more vote for Lawrence Hall of Science!

  • Berkeley Resident: You were fast and you were accurate! This photo booth is indeed at the Lawrence Hall of Science. Congratulations on being this week’s winner!

Actually, there are pay phones on a few BART platforms in SF. I haven’t look for a phone in Berkeley. They aren’t all gone. Not everyone has a cell phone. There is still a need for a few pay phones.

I have lots of local pay phones (and some from further afield) documented here:

I actually think this may be the same one:

    Loved this WIB!
