tile inset at Berkeley Bowl on Shattuck?
The mural on the NW corner if San Pablo and Addison?
The building on the NW corner of Shattuck and Virginia, across the street from Taste of the Himalayas?
Hope not ’cause we would have to report them to the Health Dept for vermin.
That’s my vote.
That was my guess, too. I think that mural has bees, but no ants.
Ok everyone has guessed correctly that it is from a mural. A hint: it’s on one of the longest streets in Berkeley, one with pockets of ethnic flair.
There’s a Mexican Restaurant on east side of San Pablo – corner of Delaware … my WAG for this morning.
Is it on the side of miaterra grocery store?
San Pablo and Addison?
Another hint: you would miss this mural heading west.
Aha! Although I’ve never seen this ant in person, Sandy confirmed that this was on University Avenue — so with a bit of digging, I found a pic showing this ant near the lower right corner of the UA Homes Mural (AKA the Bombay Spice House mural) recently painted by Eduardo Pineda. The mural is on the west side of the building facing the parking lot, so this ant would be completely invisible to drivers heading west.
You got it Neal!! This was a tough one. Congratulations.
