Volunteers with the Prisoners Literature Project (http://www.prisonersliteratureproject.com/) send free reading, reference, and study books to people imprisoned in the United States. You can help us to answer requests from people in prison and to find and package books that fit their requests.

We currently meet for our letter-opening and packaging events one day per week (Sunday afternoons), but may expand this to more days in the near future.

If you'd like to join us in this rewarding and easy-to-learn volunteer effort, come to The Grassroots House @ 2022 Blake Street in Berkeley on Sunday afternoon between 2pm and 5pm.
