Berkeley bus routes and schedules set to change
On Sunday, March 28 AC Transit will implement major service changes to its bus routes and schedules in Berkeley. The changes will reduce service overall by 8.4% and are the result of reduced state funding, declining sales tax revenue and “other economic factors”. In a nutshell, these are the changes to Berkeley bus routes:
New: 25, 49, 51B, 52 Discontinued: 9, 15, 19, 51, 52L, 79 Routes significantly changed: 7, 88, F

AC Transit’s 51 bus: an open letter

I am writing again to express my displeasure with AC Transit’s decision to discontinue the 51 Line.
Upon reviewing the Revised Service Adjustments Plan released to the public on November 18, I find the section concerning the 51 most discouraging and not terribly enlightening.
