Celebrate Earth Day tomorrow
Although yesterday was the official Earth Day, Berkeley will hold a five-hour celebration tomorrow in Civic Center Park.
In addition to live dance and music performances, the event will include demonstrations of biodiesel and electric cars, the Berkeley farmers’ market, a climbing wall, and community and craft booths. The Bicycle Friendly Berkeley Coalition (BFBC) is providing free, secure bike valet parking.

Get on your bike on Sunday
Berkeley hasn’t quite ridden to the heights of Portland as a bicycle mecca, but it remains a very bike-friendly city. You can celebrate bikes and Berkeley several ways this Sunday, courtesy of the Bicycle-Friendly Berkeley Coalition.
