A man who was shot in the area of Sacramento and Oregon streets near Bob’s Liquor store on Thursday night at around 7:30 pm was pronounced dead at Highland Hospital last night. Berkeley police have made one arrest, but no specific details of the arrestee are being released. The case is being investigated as a homicide. Berkeley Police officers were still on the scene of the incident at 4.20 am Friday morning, and are continuing to investigate.
Three males were shot Friday night at around 6:21 p.m. in the 2200 block of Bonar Street in central Berkeley, according to the Lt. Kevin Schofield of the Berkeley Police Department.
A man was shot and sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a home invasion robbery in the 1600 block of Derby Street in Berkeley at 3 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22. The suspect fled and is still at large.
On Friday October 21, at 6 pm, a tour bus drove into a tree on Hearst Avenue, destroying both the tree and the bus. Nobody apart from the driver was on the bus, and the driver sustained only minor injuries.
