Now the rains have come, they are here to stay

The rains finally came in full force, and, when they did, the impact was immediate in Berkeley. Not only did the rain gear need to be hauled out of storage, but the city’s creeks began to gush and its drains bowed under the pressure and failed to drain.

The forecast shows a strong chance of rain for the next five days, followed by a lull on Tuesday and Wednesday next week, with thunderstorms likely returning on Thursday March 22.
