With New Year’s Eve nearly upon us, the Berkeleyside team wanted to wish all of our readers a safe and happy new year.

The year just ending has been busy for Berkeleyside. We published 1,902 stories (and counting), had more than 2.3 million unique visitors and 8.4 million pageviews (up 27% and 12% from 2014). We held our third annual Uncharted ideas festival and have just issued a number of podcasts using some of the conversations from Uncharted. Look out for more podcasts in 2016.

Also coming in 2016: what we hope will be an improved comment system that will help increase civility and relevance in the community conversation.

We truly appreciate the support of the community and our readers, as well as all the writers, photographers and tipsters who have helped Berkeleyside throughout the year.

Chip in what you think Berkeleyside is worth to you — be it $5, $10 or $25 a month (which is less than a dollar a day!). Or you can make a one-time donation if you prefer.

We look forward to another great year in 2016. Wishing the best to all of you.
