Play, plant, sing! At Camp Urban Adamah, we get our hands dirty and get to know all life on an urban farm – plants, produce, goats, chickens, worms, and each other. Through group-building challenges and project-based learning, we learn about the natural world and explore community, teamwork, and the interconnectedness of all things. We do everything through the lens of Jewish tradition and storytelling.
Daily activities include gardening, feeding chickens and collecting eggs, music and stories, farm-to-fork food preparation with our bicycle powered blender and solar oven, arts and crafts, nature connection activities, and more. We open and close every day as a whole camp community with circle time, songs, storytelling, and acts of love and kindness. Each day, campers enjoy time with their own age-specific groups, choose their own afternoon free-choice specialty with campers of all ages, and experience all-camp games.
